Commercial Construction Companies: BCG Wins Best in North Metro Atlanta 2026
Commercial construction companies across North Metro Atlanta just got their 2026 ranking from the Evergreen Awards, and Bowser Construction Group took the top spot. The official recognition is published on the Evergreen Awards site, naming BCG the Best Commercial Construction Company in the North Metro Atlanta of 2026.
Recognition from a third-party awards organization isn’t the reason we build. But when the work gets seen and acknowledged, it matters. It matters to the team that shows up on jobsites at 6 a.m. It matters to the subcontractors who trust us to run clean projects. It matters to every client who handed us a lease, a deadline, and a set of keys, and said build it.

The Recognition
Evergreen Awards evaluates organizations across multiple industries. Their process isn’t a popularity contest. They look at operational consistency, client impact, and measurable strength of how a business runs. You can read how their program works at Evergreen Awards.
Their 2026 designation for Bowser Construction Group reads: “Best Commercial Construction Company in the North Metro Atlanta of 2026.” That geography covers Forsyth, North Fulton, Cherokee, Gwinnett, Hall, and Dawson counties. It’s where we live, where we work, and where most of our commercial portfolio sits.
Why the Award Matters for Commercial Construction Companies in Our Market
Plenty of commercial construction companies advertise themselves as the best. That’s marketing. An outside organization with its own reputation on the line telling the market you’re the best in a defined geography is a different thing entirely. Evergreen put their name on this. We take that seriously.
The other reason it matters: we’re a Cumming-based shop. Most of the commercial construction noise in Metro Atlanta comes out of Buckhead and Midtown, where the national firms live. Being named the best among commercial construction companies in North Metro Atlanta, from a company headquartered in Forsyth County, means the market is noticing what we’ve been building out here for years.
What the Award Is Built On
Evergreen’s writeup called out specific strengths that separate BCG from other commercial construction companies in the region. A few of them are worth addressing directly.
They highlighted our discipline around business-ready delivery. Plenty of contractors finish a project when the drywall is painted and the punch list is signed. We don’t consider a project finished until the client can open their doors and serve customers. Health department passed. Fire marshal signed off. ADA compliant. HVAC commissioned. The restaurant is ready for grand opening on the date the owner committed to investors. The medical practice can see patients on day one of the lease. That distinction is the entire point of hiring a commercial general contractor.
They called out our permitting and inspection coordination across jurisdictions. Every Metro Atlanta county and city runs a different playbook. Forsyth County moves fast. Fulton County is slower and more detailed. Sandy Springs has its own review quirks. Roswell’s historic district triggers extra review cycles. Commercial construction companies that have submitted plans in all of these build relationships and instincts that cut weeks off every project. We have that track record because we’ve spent years building it.
They pointed to our compliance work on health department plan review and ADA. Those are the two areas where inexperience gets punished hardest. A restaurant that fails health review loses a month or more. An ADA violation caught after certificate of occupancy costs ten to twenty times what it would have cost to design correctly the first time. We get this right because we’ve built enough restaurants, medical offices, and commercial spaces to know what inspectors look for before they show up.
They noted the breadth of what we cover under one license. Commercial, residential, multifamily, industrial, design-build, tenant improvements. Clients who start with one project type and grow into another don’t need a new contractor every time. That continuity is part of why Forsyth County developers keep calling us back.
The Commercial Work Behind It
Behind any recognition is a list of completed projects. Ours spans office buildouts across Alpharetta, Sandy Springs, Cumming, and Roswell. Restaurant construction from fast-casual to full-service. Medical office buildouts for private practices. Retail construction in strip centers and mixed-use developments. Spec suite programs for institutional landlords. Ground-up work in Forsyth County and beyond.
Every one of those categories has its own discipline, and that’s where most commercial construction companies run into trouble. Restaurant construction requires an understanding of commercial kitchens, grease management, fire suppression, and health department review. Medical offices require plumbing rough-in for exam rooms, specific HVAC profiles, and sometimes lead-lined walls. Office tenant improvements require landlord work letter negotiation, building management coordination, and knowing how to move a project through a high-rise without disrupting other tenants.
Some of the writing we’ve published on those disciplines is available in our blog. Our restaurant buildout timeline and cost breakdown lays out what the process actually looks like and what it costs. Our piece on TI contractors versus general contractors explains why office buildouts are a specialty, not a sideline. Our ADA compliance commercial buildout guide walks through the code items that ruin budgets when they’re caught late. That content exists because we get asked the same questions often enough that writing the answers down was easier than having the same conversation a hundred times.
The award reflects that whole body of work, not any single project.
What Clients Should Take From This
If you’re evaluating commercial construction companies in the North Metro Atlanta market, third-party recognition is useful but it’s one data point. Verify a contractor’s license through the Georgia Secretary of State. Check their insurance. Call their references. Walk a recent project with them if you can. That’s how you actually evaluate a builder.
What this award does validate is that the way we run projects has been consistent enough, for long enough, across enough different project types, to be noticed by a third party that evaluates commercial construction companies for a living. That’s not marketing. That’s track record.
The bigger picture: North Georgia is entering one of the strongest commercial construction cycles in a decade. The $3 billion mixed-use development planned near GA-400 south of Cumming is going to reshape Forsyth County’s commercial market. Healthcare construction is expanding aggressively. Office and retail tenant improvements remain strong across Alpharetta, Sandy Springs, and Roswell. Whichever commercial construction companies build the next wave of commercial space in this geography will be doing work that lasts for the next 30 years. Being named the best commercial construction company in North Metro Atlanta, at this exact moment, positions us to do our share of that work.
Thank You
To every client who took a chance on a Cumming-based contractor when they could have picked a national name in Buckhead: thank you. To every subcontractor who runs clean work on our jobsites: thank you. To every inspector, architect, engineer, broker, and landlord we’ve worked alongside: thank you. To the BCG team: thank you. This award is shared with all of you.
And to Evergreen Awards: thank you for the recognition and for running a program that evaluates commercial construction companies on substance.
The award hangs in the office starting this week. The work continues tomorrow.
